Anne – one of the best friends anyone could ever ask for!
As I’m writing this there are tears in my eyes
Where do I start, the first day I met Anne was at an Ann Summers Area Meeting, where she made me cry. The last day I saw Anne she made me cry, I drove home with tears falling down my cheeks. I know when we say our final farewells i,ll be crying again , as we use to say….”our eyes are leaking!”
Or as the old saying goes
Tears are words the heart can’t express. I will alway remember you saying that to me, when I lost my dad.
Ann Summers was where it all began, taking weekly figures for Anne on a Sunday evenings when she just couldn’t take any more!! Area Meetings, Catalogue Launches they were always eventful and Crown Circle weekends…. Lots of stories there too!
In the 20 + years, our friendship grew, we had many many happy memories, we cried together, laughed together, been through good times and bad, we got drunk together (too many times to mention), been on holidays, spa days, trips to the theatre, Salsa dance classes, we even gave pilates a go (until Anne broke wind one night and we didnt go back)weddings, parties, bingo nights, shopping days, lunches, afternoon teas, Carnivals, the Take That concerts with Carol and Wendy, trips to London were a many, plus lots more, these memories I will cherish forever. So many good times, too many to mention.
Anne was my dearest friend and part of our family, she will hold a place in my heart forever. I still can’t believe I’m not going to see her smile, hear her voice, smell her “Beautiful” perfume, and I miss the cupboard doors being left open when she made a coffee!
Sleep well my beautiful friend, fly high with the angels and I’m sure you’ll have them all sorted in no time and will be the busiest guardian angel for everyone who’s lives you have touched near and far.
Thank you Anne for being such a special friend and part of my life, it wont be the same without you.
